Anggraeni & Partners Welcomes LEM Faculty of Law Universitas Islam Indonesia: Building Future Legal Minds

On 18 October 2024, Anggraeni & Partners had the pleasure of hosting a visit from Lembaga Eksekutif Mahasiswa (LEM) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), as part of our commitment to nurturing future generations of legal professionals. The event was filled with insightful discussions and presentations, highlighting the close collaboration between experienced practitioners and aspiring legal minds.

The visit began with a warm welcome from Managing Associate Tanya Widjaja Kusuma, who emphasized Anggraeni & Partners’ dedication to fostering the development of young talent in the legal field. Following this, a brief introduction to Anggraeni & Partners was provided, showcasing our firm’s various practice areas. This set the stage for an engaging and informative afternoon.

The sharing session started with Agnes Wulandari, who introduced the Advisory and Commercial Transaction Practice Group. Agnes provided an overview of her team, highlighting their focus on commercial transactions and advisory services. She also shared insights into how the group supports clients in navigating complex business landscapes.

Aga K. Silaen represented the White Collar Defense and Investigation Practice Group, where she discussed her team’s work in handling high-profile investigations and defending clients in white-collar crime cases. A unique highlight shared by Orima Davey, a legal researcher in the Ocean, Maritime, and Climate Research Group at Anggraeni & Partners. Orima explained her role in conducting research on legal frameworks related to ocean and maritime law as well as climate change policies. She demonstrates how law graduates can pursue diverse pathways beyond traditional legal practice by specializing in legal research.

The students of LEM FH UII also had the opportunity to introduce themselves, sharing their vision and the goals of LEM. Their enthusiasm for bridging the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice resonated with all attendees. A lively discussion and Q&A session followed, where students engaged with the team from Anggraeni & Partners on topics such as career pathways, the skills needed to excel in the legal profession, and the realities of working in a dynamic law firm.

The visit concluded with an office tour, offering students a firsthand look at the collaborative and vibrant work environment at Anggraeni & Partners. We look forward to future opportunities to collaborate with LEM FH UII and continue contributing to developing Indonesia’s future legal experts.
